Go Straight, Permanently
As the trend for straight and smooth hair continues, so too, does the demand for a hair straightening procedure that lasts. Until recently, the options to achieve straight, shiny looking hair while effective, were only a temporary solution, but the time for turning unwanted curly or wavy hair permanently* straight is here. Thermal Straightening is a new generation straightening system that combines the innovative use of negative ions with the special straightening techniques and talents of our staff. The battle is over! The look and the benefits are extraordinary. In the following photos, a thermal straightening is conducted:
 |
1. During a complimentary salon consultation,
the procedure is reviewed, questions addressed,
and expectations are set for precisely what
Thermal Straightening will achieve. |
| 2. The service begins with a clarifying shampoo and a special "leave in" conditioner. Then the hair is blow-dried to
50-60% dry. |
 |
| 3. A special preparation is then applied, which strengthens and protects the hair. That is followed with the thermal straightening cream, beginning at the back of the head and applied in a systematic and thorough manner. |
|
 |
4. Hair "processes" for approximately 45 minutes and
results are checked every 10 minutes. It is a very personalized
service as the time required varies with each client.
Knowing exactly when to end the process
maximizes the results. |
| 5. Following a second blow dry, a
heated iron is applied throughout the hair to "set" the thermal
process and produce a smooth cuticle, a lustrous
shine, and sleek appearance. |
|
6. The effect of ironing also neutralizes the hair, returning
its normal ph level. The hair is rinsed, followed by a final blow
dry and hairstyling that is now sleek, silky, and
manageable.
(Note: no hair color was used on the model pictured. The appearance of lighter and brighter hair color is due to the light reflected by the hair's new, smooth texture.) |
